Zeidaku

A new unfiltered beer called Asahi Zeidaku (アサヒ 贅濁) has become available through Asahi Beer’s test sales site « Asahi Kuuso Kaihatsu-kyoku » (Asahi Fantasy Development Bureau) starting March 23, in limited quantities. Most beers are filtered after fermentation and maturation to achieve a clear, transparent appearance by removing yeast and other components derived from raw materials. Asahi Zeidaku takes a different approach by intentionally skipping this filtration step, resulting in a rich body, deep umami flavor, and a fine, distinctive cloudiness.
