À PROPOS DE CETTE BIÈRE

“Classic Bavarian Kellerbier with caramel malt, gentle fruit, balanced hops and a smooth amber finish.” Weihenstephaner 1516 Kellerbier is a classic Bavarian lager with rich malt character, gentle fruit and beautifully balanced hops. Amber in colour with a naturally cloudy appearance, it is fuller and more characterful than a simple lager while still remaining smooth, refreshing and very easy to enjoy. Brewed with the rare Hallertauer Record hop variety, this Kellerbier has a pleasant caramel note alongside subtle fruit, soft malt sweetness and a clean hop finish. Extended maturation gives the beer its rounded character and distinctive slight cloudiness. Tasting Notes Aroma: Fresh fruit, caramel malt, gentle grain notes and subtle hops. Palate: Smooth and full flavoured with caramel malt, light fruitiness and a balanced hop character. Finish: Clean and refreshing with lingering malt, gentle bitterness and a smooth rounded finish. About The Brewery Weihenstephan is one of the great names in Bavarian brewing, with the Bavarian State Brewery Weihenstephan producing a broad range of traditional German beer styles in Freising, Bavaria. The brewery is particularly well known for its wheat beers and classic Bavarian lagers. The 1516 Kellerbier was first brewed to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Bavarian Reinheitsgebot, the famous German beer purity law. It quickly developed a following of its own thanks to its combination of rich malt, balanced hops and traditional Kellerbier character.
