Blackcurrant – Plum – Black cherry – Smoke Ca’n Verdura Negre hails from the Binissalem region of Mallorca and offers a warm welcome to the unpretentious island style of Mallorcan food and wine. The origins of Ca’n Verdura date back six generations, working and cultivating the Binissalem vineyards. This deep, dark, concentrated red showcases a blend of primarily indigenous grapes, with old-vine international varieties sourced from different vineyards of variable age and a diversity of soils. Fermented with native yeasts, with low intervention vinification and minimal sulphur at bottling. You’ll find notes of strawberries, blackcurrants and a touch of smoke and charred meat. Sweet purple plums, blackcurrants and juicy black cherry come through alongside soft, supple tannins and lovely refreshing acidity. It deliveres a savoury finish with heaps of hedgerow fruit and texture. Grapes: 60% Mantonegro, 18% Merlot, 11% Cabernet, 6% Monastrell, 5% Callet Pair with: Duck, lamb chops, puttanesca
