Citrus – Pear – Cut grass – Gooseberry Chateau Barouillet is a 40-hectare estate, fully organic since 2013. The 8th generation to work at the estate, Vincent Alexis joined his father in 2010 and talked him into bottling their own wines instead of selling them for bulk blending. Soils are clay on limestone with iron and flint in the Pecharmant vineyards. We love these guys’ wines. This is a lively 9% pet nat (easy-drinking nuisance juice!) made without sulphur from a plot of 40 year old Semillon vines grown in clay and limestone. Zesty lemon and lime aromas with cut grass. Super-fun! Grape: Semillon
