Salicornio Blanco Malvasia 2021 13%

Fresh – Saline – Stonefruit Andres Carull comes from a decades-long family winemaking tradition, but was inspired by a trip to Bordeaux in 2008, where he discovered natural wine. This spark became a passion to produce authentic, stripped-back wines that express a true sense of place, heritage and people in his idyllic Alicante location. The sister wine to this one, Salicornio Moscatel, is a cult favourite at HB&B. This is similar but different, though it has that same distinct Salicornio salinity. Organically and biodynamically farmed Malvasia grapes spend five days on skins before being wild fermented in concrete vats. In addition to the salinity from the Meditterrean soils, this is balanced by griy tannins, lovely stone fruit flavours and crisp acidity. Grape: Malvasia Pair with: Anchovies, seafood
