Pergolas Criollas Tintas 2022 12.5%

Soft – Juicy – Strawberry Cara Sur is a collaborative project between winemakers Sebastián Zuccardi and Marcela Manini, with Nuria Año Gargiulo and Pancho Burgallo, an avid mountaineering couple who live in Barreal, in the Calingasta Valley of San Juan, north of Mendoza. Their aim is to resurrect vineyards of heritage Argentinean grape varieties (criollas) and make authentic and expressive wines from them. The Pergolas range showcases blends from a multitude of tiny parcels across the valley. This is a ridiculously fresh and juicy super-pale red wine – herbaceous with a hint of tart strawberry. Different Criolla grapes (Cereza, Criolla Grande, Canela and others that are natural crosses of Listán Prieto) make up the blend. Pair with: Beef carpaccio, tomato bruschetta
