But it’ll be a lot easier (and even more satisfying) to grab a bottle of today’s bourbon barrel aged Luxury (2026) from Highland Park. The brewers elevated this 4.34 UT-rated BBA Stout with nearly a pound of vanilla beans for every barrel — the very finest available from Comoros, Uganda, and Vanuatu. And they put it all onto a bourbon barrel aged base that’s more velvety than a cashmere-covered chaise longue. Take a sip, and you’ll be basking in notes of rich chocolate and swirls of whiskey caramel. Hints of marshmallow pirouette beside subtle nuances of roasty mocha on the way to a sumptuous finish. Let’s face it — helicopters use a LOT of gas, and some folks find bear skin rugs a little creepy. Luckily, you don’t need either of those things to indulge in this lavish Stout.
