Lovely St. Winefride

Lovely Saint Winefride is a golden barleywine, a beer style invented in Sheffield. Our take contains all British ingredients, with Goldings hops and Maris Otter barley. Not a beer to be rushed, St Win was fermented first in our brewery tanks and then refermented in bottles ready for you to enjoy. Lovely complex leafy sweet beer! Saint Winefride was an 8th Century Abbess, who was beheaded by some total arsehole but survived (somehow?) and generally seems to have kicked some serious butt. Where her head fell, holy springs are said to have appeared, which gives us a pleasing water goddess & brewing link. Here’s to Win!
