La Sirene Gruner Folie 2025
À PROPOS DE CETTE BIÈRE
Bright wild ale and wine hybrid with lime, honeydew, apricot and refreshing saline acidity. La Sirène Grüner Folie 2025 is a bright wild ale and wine hybrid with lime, honeydew, apricot and refreshing saline acidity. Created with Eleven Sons Wine using Grüner Veltliner grape skins, it brings the freshness and fruit character of wine together with the complexity and gentle wildness of a La Sirène ale. The palate is vivid and highly approachable, with green fruit, lively acidity and delicate savoury character. Lime and honeydew bring freshness, while under ripe apricot adds subtle fruit depth. A long, lightly saline finish keeps the beer clean, refreshing and beautifully balanced. This is a great choice for those who enjoy wild ales, natural wine and distinctive limited releases that sit comfortably between the worlds of beer and wine. Tasting Notes Aroma: Fresh lime, green melon, under ripe apricot and gentle wild complexity. Palate: Bright and vinous, with honeydew, citrus, green fruit and balanced acidity. Finish: Long, refreshing and slightly saline, with lingering lime and delicate fruit. About The Brewery And Region La Sirène Brewing was founded in Melbourne in 2010 with a focus on wild and farmhouse ales inspired by the traditional beers of Wallonia in southern Belgium. With roots in winemaking, the brewery has always explored the connection between wine, beer, fermentation and a strong sense of place. The brewery began near the Darebin Parklands in Alphington before moving to Reservoir in 2023. Its beers are shaped by the seasons, local climate and naturally occurring yeast and bacteria around the brewery, giving each release its own distinctive character. La Sirène has become one of Australia’s leading producers of wild and farmhouse ales, known for beers that are expressive, complex and still beautifully drinkable. Grüner Folie reflects that philosophy through its collaboration with Eleven Sons Wine and its use of Grüner Veltliner, an Austrian grape variety now gaining attention in Australia. The collaboration connects La Sirène’s Reservoir brewery with fruit grown in South Australia’s Limestone Coast. This gives Grüner Folie a genuine sense of regional identity, bringing together Victorian wild ale character and fresh Australian Grüner Veltliner fruit. Cellaring Potential La Sirène Grüner Folie 2025 is vibrant and refreshing now, with bright lime, melon and apricot character. Careful short to medium term cellaring may allow the wild ale, fruit and savoury flavours to become softer and more integrated. Store the bottle upright in a cool, dark and stable place.
