The vollbier is rightly one of the classics in the Bamberg region. It embodies a perfect Franconian cellar beer. Pouring a clear, rich yellow, it has the aroma of a freshly harvested Franconian grain field, along with aromas of toffee and sweet dough. It’s full, soft and rounded on the palate, deliciously bready and with notes of wildflower honey, capped off with a short, fine bitterness that builds anticipation for the next sip.
