De Molen Weer & Wind Bourbon BA

This is a beautiful 10.7% barley wine – lots of sweet caramel malt, toffee, dates, figs, raisins, chocolate, burned sugar. And then there is the vanilla and sweet bourbon riding shotgun over the whole experience. They must have been wet barrels used, as there is no hiding where this beer has been resting for the past year. The alcohol is warming and welcome, rather than being too much, and this beer slips down too easily for its strength (and your own good). Let it warm and it truly opens up all the attributes, and then some. A genuine sipper.
