Orange – Honey – Nutty Jocular American John Bojanowski visited our East Dulwich Road shop in 2023 and we enjoyed meeting the winemaker as much as we enjoyed tasting his wines! John and his wife Nicole have run Clos du Gravillas, based in the village of Saint-Jean de Minervois in the shadow of the Montagne Noir in the Minervois region of Languedoc-Roussillon, since 1999. This 100% Muscadet de Saint Jean de Minervois is from vines grown at 300m above sea level. Yields are extremely low and the resulting wine is aged in stainless steel tanks. This is a sweet wine but has bags of character – aromas of orange and honey with a nutty edge; light and fresh on the palate with sweet citrus notes.
