Plum – Cassis – Dark chocolate Chateau Tour des Gendres was founded in 1925 at Ribagnac near Bergerac in the Dordogne in South West France. Vines are grown using organic and biodynamic principles on a mixture of limestone and clay soils. No additional sulphites are used and the wines are unfiltered. This is a bright, velvety, easy-drinking blend of Merlot and Malbec with a dash of Cabernet Franc. You’ll find aromas of plums, red cherries and sweet spices with a hint of vanilla. On the palate, it’s rounded and spicy with notes of cassis and dark chocolate. Delicious.
