With an intense red shimmer, the Benno is reminiscent of a sunny autumn day in the Danube valley. The fine perlage forms a compact foam that releases complex, spicy, grassy hop aromas; the Alsatian hops of the Strissel Spalter variety show their full strength and flavour. Carried by pleasant malt aromas, this Trappist beer ends with an intense, harmonious bitterness.
