The Mikkeller Badges Are Back for MBCC 2026

Mikkeller Beer Week is already underway and Mikkeller Beer Celebration kicks off this Friday. We’ve updated the Untappd badges for 2026. During MBW, unlock location-based badges for making the rounds across all Mikkeller’s Copenhagen bars – and yes, the airport bar counts. At MBCC, it’s all about breweries and beers checked in: from your first 10 breweries to a slightly worrying 800 beers. Badges are live now. Good luck out there.
Ales for ALS: Find a Local Event and Raise a Glass for a Great Cause

We’re thrilled to announce that Untappd is teaming up with Ales for ALS in 2026. This one means a lot to us. The craft beer community has always been about more than what’s in the glass, it’s about the people, the stories, and showing up for each other when it matters most. Collaborating with Ales for ALS is our way of putting that belief into action. Together, we’re rallying breweries, beer lovers, and Untappd users across the country around a cause that deserves every bit of energy we can give it: ending ALS. If you’ve ever raised a glass and thought, « I wish this could do more, » we’ve got some good news for you! The Ales for ALS program turns exactly that wish into reality. Partnering breweries across the country brew special beers, host release parties and festivals, and direct the proceeds toward ALS research at the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI). You can make a donation directly to Ales for ALS online! Why It Matters to the Craft Beer World ALS affects roughly 30,000 Americans at any given time. It’s relentless, it’s fatal, and it remains without a cure. The Ales for ALS program isn’t a cure, but it’s a community-powered engine that keeps research funded and keeps the conversation going, one pint at a time. The craft beer community has always punched above its weight when it comes to giving back. Local taprooms are gathering places where neighborhoods come together, where strangers become regulars, and where causes find their champions. Ales for ALS taps into that perfectly. Breweries don’t just write a check, they brew a dedicated special release beer, throw events, and get their regulars fired up. It turns passive support into something you can taste, pour, and share.
